Marshmallow Root
Althaea officinalis
Marshmallow Root comes from a soft, velvety plant that grows in marshes across Europe and Asia. It is the original source of the marshmallow candy, which was once made from the root's sweet, gel-like sap. When soaked in water, it releases a soft, soothing gel.
Flavor & Aroma: Mild, slightly sweet and earthy with a smooth, silky texture.
